From the founders

Why we built it

I grew up watching my mom run a household so nothing ever caught her off guard. She saw what was coming and handled it before it became a problem. My dad was an automotive engineer who kept the car, the boat, and every tool in the shape it was meant to be in. Between the two of them, looking after your things was just something you did, quietly, before it turned into a bigger one.

For more than ten years I have run a storage lot for boats and RVs. I watch new owners pull in proud and a little anxious. They want to do right by what they just bought. They mostly do not know where to start, and nobody at the dealership slowed down to tell them.

goFrigg is what I wish I could hand each of them: the guides, the checklists, the timing, the things nobody bothers to mention when you sign the papers and get your keys.

I built it for the people I love first. My sisters and their families. My wife and our growing one. So that knowing how to look after a home or a boat does not have to live in one person's head, and so nothing important slips through because everyone assumed someone else had it.

We are not here to be experts. We are here to help you stay ahead, the way my parents always did.

Growing up, I watched my family struggle to keep up with the house. Things slid, and before long a small problem had spiraled into a costly one that meant hiring help. That stuck with me. From a young age, I made a point to look after my own things and stay ahead of the upkeep.

With no one to show me, I turned to YouTube and how-to videos to learn how to care for my car and my tools. It took me far too long to get the simplest jobs right. Later, working in real estate and property management as a general contractor, I learned what really keeps a home and a rental in good shape, and how much seasonal timing matters before small things turn into serious damage.

goFrigg is the thing a younger me would have leaned on hard. That is exactly why I wanted to build it.

At the end of the day, helping other people is one of the best things we can do. That is what pushed me to build goFrigg: a place to share what we have learned, so it can help as many people as possible.

Telling stories is what I do, and what I love. The best ones come from the time we spend together: an afternoon on the boat, a weekend in the RV, or a full week away making memories with the people who matter most.

Those trips should be about having fun, not dealing with preventable problems. A forgotten maintenance task or overlooked piece of upkeep should not be the reason plans change, a trip gets cut short, or a great memory turns into a headache.

That is why I am part of goFrigg. We help you stay ahead of the small things, so the boat, RV, home, and everything else you care for are ready when it is time to enjoy them.

About the name

A name with a little history

Who Frigg was

Frigg is the Norse keeper of the household. She carried the keys, and she had the foresight to act before the season turned. That is the whole idea of goFrigg in one figure: see it coming, get there first.

The root behind her name traveled further than the stories did. The same ancient root for what is beloved and worth protecting gave English the words free and friend, and shows up across languages for the simple act of looking after someone.

Across every age and every language, the same root carried the same idea: the things you love are the things you look after.
